OVERVIEW of River House

The footprint of the River House has an interesting history, first as an overnight stop for those workmen transporting materials down the rolling river. This was back in the days when 100 barges moved through the canel every day. Later it was the site of Odette Myrtil’s boisterous cabaret, where her vibrant personality & French flair ruled the day.

Today it is the site of the River House at Odette’s, a stunning riverfront inn from the folks who created one of our other recommendations The Reeds at Shelter Haven in Stone Harbor New Jersey. This hotel group, Refined Hospitality, excells in creating properties with amazing designs, lots of amenities and superior service.

River House has a Piano Lounge, a wonderful restaurant and a members only (inn guests included) Rooftop Bar that has fantastic views of New Hope and Lambertville.

The rooms and suites are incredibly comfortable, many with balconies, river or mountain views and a host of amenities. Bold murals sit behind tufted leather headboards and carpets sport a dazzling design to compliment the artwork. Beds are draped in Frette linens and soft white duets. Bathrooms feature a glass shower with a rain showerhead and Malin & Goetz bath products. There’s a comfortable reading corner, nightly turn-down service and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Odette’s is the signature restaurant featuring steaks and fresh seafood. It serves lunch and dinner daily and brunch on the weekends. Live music entertains. The restaurant is reviewed separately.There is also a Piano Lounge and a members only rooftop bar (open to hotel guests)

Staff is extremely well trained to make guests feel at home. They are attentive, friendly and helpful.

The Inn has partnered with Farley’s Bookshop to provide reading material exclusively for guests. Plus, there are physical books around the hotel for you to enjoy and take home, completely complimentary.

The River House Bicycle Program is an excellent way to return to nature and unlock the wonderful city of New Hope. Bikes are complimentary for registered hotel guests and each one comes with a helmet and is tuned up.
