d’floret

Chef/owner Dennis Foy has been around the NY area dining scene for over 35 years. After stints at Le Cote Basque and the 21 Club, he opened is first restaurant, Tarragon Tree in Meyersville and set a new standard for the area. His cooking was “ingredient-focused, seasonal, and dependent on the nearest farmers.” according to Echo Magazine.

He’a had restaurants throughout the NY area including in Bay Head, Point Pleasant Beach and Red Bank and has mentored top chefs like Tom Collichio, Craig Shelton and Debbie Ponzek.

Today, he and his wife Estella Quinones Foy run the delightful d’floret in Lambertville, a true farm to table restaurant. The experience is a celebration of the senses from the beautiful artwork created by Dennis and Estella, to the plate presentation to the food.

The menu is brimming with fresh flavors. You might find fresh produce from Nature’s Reward in Point Pleasant or sea scallops from local day boats. Perhaps berries and mushrooms foraged from local forests.

Some current menu highlights; Butternut Squash Soup, with warm Mediterranean spices; Homemade Gnocchi, chive, sage, beurre monte; Flat Grilled Swordfish, fennel, tomato, garlic, burnt onion and orange; Roasted Rack of Lamb, pommes purée, glazed carrots, chive, au jus. For dessert the Raspberry Tart with Crème Anglaise is to die for. The restaurant is BYOB.
