The Ritz Ft Lauderdale is an ideal escape if you just want a weekend chill. Ocean views, big rooms, an elevated pool, with ocean views and an excelent restaurant make this a great weekend option. This is Ft Lauderdale’s only AAA Five Diamond rated hotel.

THE ROOMS at Ritz Carlton, Ft Lauderdale

The hotel has 191 guest rooms and the average size is 520 sq. ft. Most have balconies with views of the Intercoastal or the ocean. Room features include;  a state-of-the-art DVD theater entertainment system, Pratesi linens, and oversized marble baths with Asprey bath amenities. Decorated in shades of white, blue and cream that reflect the waters outside, rooms are a soothing oasis.

DINING at Ritz Carlton, Ft Lauderdale

The resort’s signature restaurant, Burlock Coast serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. This is more than a hotel restaurant, though, as there seemed to be as many local’s at the bar as there were hotel guests. The food is fun, the mood is festive, the drinks are delicious (fresh squeezed juices) and the staff is attractive and engaging.

THE SERVICE at Ritz Carlton, Ft Lauderdale

Extraordinary service is always a pleasure to behold. Day 1 on my  visit I was looking for a NY Post, a bellman directed me to a newsstand a short drive away. The next morning he brought me the paper while I was having breakfast.
