Meadowood, St Helena

OVERVIEW of Meadowood

In 1979 H. William Harlan was searching for land on which to create a wine estate when he was introduced to Meadowood, which had been founded in 1964 as a private country club. The property wasn’t ideally suited to grape growing, but Mr. Harlan was intrigued and called his partners to share the news of the hidden gem. Within forty-eight hours the partners owned the estate and began planning its future.

Today this exquisite 250 acre property is owned by Bill Harlan of Harlan Estates (100 point rated Cabernet) and Stan Kroenke, (owner of Screaming Eagle, the St. Louis Rams, the Denver Nuggets and the Colorado Avalanche sports teams). It is also the home of the Napa Valley Vintners, who host the most exclusive wine event of the year ‘Auction Napa Valley’ here.

The beautiful treed property seems miles away from the hustle and bustle of the Valley and affords a wonderful degree of peace and serenity.
