OVERVIEW of Topping Rose

In 2005, two old friends, Bill Campbell and Simon Critchell, joined together to purchase and restore Topping Rose House, which was built in 1842 for Judge Abraham Topping Rose and his family, and transform it into a year-round luxury boutique hotel.  The stunning design by architect Roger Ferris & Partners and designer Champalimaud deftly mixes the old and new and features a fantastic art collection showcasing both local and international artists and curated by Christine Wächter of Winston Wächter Fine Art. The hotel has already earned Forbes 4 Star honors.

THE ROOMS at Topping Rose

The main building, a Greek Revival gem and the studio and cottages adjacent, house 22 elegant guestooms. Cottages are particularly romantic, each with its own private garden or roof deck. Shades of gray are the color palette with artwork, accents and carpeting providing complimentary colors. Beds are dressed in luxury linens by Frette, bathtowels by Matouk, bathrobes by Chadsworth & Haig, and luxury bath amenities.

DINING at Topping Rose

Jean-George at Topping Rose is the inn’s restaurant.  A wrap-around porch, open seasonally, leads to the 25-seat Bar Room and beyond to the elegant the 50-seat dining room. The restaurant showcases produce from Topping Rose House Farm as well as other local farms, ranches and day boat fishermen. Dishes are prepared simply to let their ingredients to shine through. Serving all meals plus weekend brunch, the menu offers pasta and pizza, simply cooked fish, steak and chops, Maine lobster, organic salmon and more.

The property features a fitness center, heated outdoor pool and a complimentary shuttle to the beautiful beaches and local attractions in Bridgehampton. TRH also has bicycles and helmets available for hotel guests to use.

The town of Bridgehampton has some wonderful stores, boutiques and museums and locally there are beaches, water sports, golf, tennis, hiking, fishing and lots of wineries to visit.
