Now, we have own our world class year round inn, right here in New Jersey, in the quaint beach town of Stone Harbor in southern New Jersey; The Reeds at Shelter Haven.

This amazing luxury boutique hotel sits right on the bay and just a block from the ocean and offers stunning seaside views and spectacular sunsets. It boasts 37 exquisitely furnished rooms i
ncluding 26 standard guestroom, 8 suites and 3 hospitality suites. (Turret Town View Corner Kings are particularly cool) Rooms are decorated in “beachy” shades of taupe, white and celadon and feature white oak floors imported from Holland, triple-‐sheeted, Fretted 100% Egyptian cotton bed linens, Malin + Goetz bath amenities, frame-‐less glass showers with subway tiles and rain-‐shower-‐heads, and more. Select rooms have balconies with bay or town views, fireplaces, separate living rooms and full kitchens.
DINING at The Reeds
Under the direction of Executive Chef Juan Hernandez, The Reeds offers four dining options, extraordinary for a property of this size. You can enjoy excellent pizza, Italian sandwiches and 
local craft beers at Stone Harbor Pizza Pub, Mexican fare and amazing margaritas at Buckets Margarita Bar and Cantina, steaks and seafood at Sax , and Water Star Grille features al fresco dining on the bay with sunsets that rival Key West.
We enjoyed fantastic meals in all the restaurants.
THE SERVICE at The Reeds
Location, rooms and dining options would be enough to merit a visit here, but it is the service that allows The Reeds to join the ranks of the best properties we have visited. The staff is well trained, pleasant and friendly. Even the seasonal staff have nailed the hospitality thing, very unusual in our experience where service usually suffers a little from seasonal employees.
Other hotel amenities include a Roof Garden Sundeck with two hot tubs and a plunge pool, boat slips for bay side docking, seasonal water sports and access to the Stone Harbor Golf Club. Noteworthy is that the hotel offers a range of complimentary services; concierge, parking, wireless internet and complimentary daily yoga on the bay (in season).
The “Beach Butler” service offers electronic motorcar transportation to the beach with complimentary beach tags, towels, chairs and umbrellas. Guests stay in a designated area on the beach which is staffed with hotel personnel who will fetch you drinks and lunch from the hotel.
