Start at the Lumer Bar in the lobby, a local “hot spot”, featuring artisan cocktails (try the Southern Skies Julep, Bourbon, fresh blackberries, fresh mint, simple syrup and Plum bitters) and live jazz, classical guitar and Peruvian flute Tuesday-Saturday.

AG is the signature restaurant with a modern take on a classic steakhouse. Decorated in shades of gray with leather booths, black & white tile and hardwood floors and subdued lighting.

Start with a Smoky Old Fashioned, served with hickory smoke, bourbon and their signature Whistle Pig recipe.

Menu items are sourced locally and purveyors are promoted throughout the menu. I enjoyed a fantastic Kansas City Strip Steak that was a monstrous 18oz. Served with a huge baked potato with sour cream, Nueske bacon and Coltswold cheese. Delicious. Seafood items include a Maine Lobster Pappardelle, St, Jacques Scallops and a fresh catch. Interesting other items like Veal Osso Buco and Honey glazed Duck Breast. Good wine list with interesting choices and fair pricing.

The hotel is Atlanta’s only location of the Athens, Georgia-based Jittery Joe’s, offering micro-roasted coffees and specialty pastries
