High Peaks Resort

OVERVIEW of High Peaks Resort

For many, many years the Hilton occupied the corner of Main Street and Saranac Avenue and in 2008 the property passed hands and became the High Peaks Resort. The owners took advantage of an ideal location with mountain and lake views and “kicked it up a notch” as Emeril would say. This is a great place to stay if you are on a budget as the rates are very reasonable.

The beautiful lobby has been redone in wood, stone and marble and is both elegant and cozy. Wood paneled walls, warming fireplaces and comfortable seating make it the ideal place to read a newspaper or have a drink at the end of the day at PJ’s, the lobby bar.

THE ROOMS at High Peaks Resort

Rooms, most of which have views of town below and the lake and mountains in the distance, have been redesigned in warm shades of brown, gold, burgundy and green. Many have walls of carpet sections, others with paneling. Most have leather couches or chairs, wood furniture, flat screen TV’s, an oversized desk with granite top and high quality bedding and linens. A frosted glass door leads to a European styled bathroom with a natural stone tiled walk-in shower with a rainforest shower head, plump towels and Molton Brown toiletries.
