Newport Harbor Island Resort is a stunning property just minutes from downtown on its own island. A $50mm recent renovation has restore the property to it former glory. The hotel is surrounded by Narragansett Bay affording stunning 360 degree water views. The hotel is decorated with “200 nautical-inspired weavings, some created with reclaimed materials, and hung as art pieces throughout the property. They were commissioned from local artisans and weaving guilds as a nod to New England’s weaving past.” (Conde Nast)

There are 257 rooms and 18 suites on the property, nearly all with water views. A blue and beige color palette draw from the waters around the resort and amenities include luxury linens, pillow top beds, 47″ TV’s, a separate work area, a sitting area, complimentary WiFi, a spacious bath with granite counter tops, a glass shower and luxury bath products. Rooms are equipped with a special plastic bag for guests to take their phone, sunglasses etc to the pool.

The renovation unveiled a new signature restaurant 1639, a updated menu for the poolside Pineapple Club, and the addition of Torpedo Bar & Lounge (which features an expanded patio and new pergola system). 1639 raw bar classics and house-made pastas and locally sourced seafood and meats. Pineapple Club presents Lobster rolls, a raw bar with oysters, and classics from the grill. Topedo Bar & Lounge is a cozy pub with amazing views and classic American dishes and innovative cocktails.
