Seldom do we encounter the “perfect storm” of dining when food, ambiance and service come
together to create a memorable evening. Such was the case, though, at Ember & Eagle, a wonderful restaurant on the grounds of the Suneagles Golf Club in Eatontown.
Under the direction of Ryan DePersio who worked for David Bouley, Bill Telepan and Jean Georges with stints in Michelin starred restaurants in Paris, France and Florence, Italy, this is an experience worth your most special, special occasion. He is also the owner of acclaimed NJ restaurants Fascino and Battello.
The dining rooms are stunning from the marble topped horseshoe bar to the “fireplace” room to the upstairs dining room with gorgeous
views of the golf course. Beautifully decorated, the rooms are elegant and sophisticated, worthy of their place beside any NYC restaurant.
This is an upscale steakhouse with a nod toward DePersio’s stint in Italy. Prime cuts of Pat Lafrieda dry aged beef share a spot beside a Swordfish Milanese and pastas like a Braised Short Rib & Provolone Agnolotti.
Excellent wine list with interesting choices, but a bit pricey. Would like to see more choices under $75.
Our server Jess was a delight. Pleasant, knowledgeable, prompt…couldn’t ask for more.
Happy Hour and live music.
ROMANTIC QUOTIENT
This is a wonderful special occasion restaurant where the experience makes everyone feel special.
