THE ROOMS at Sunset Key Cottages

The exquisite cottages, which make up about a quarter of the island (the rest are private homes), seem to have jumped from a decorating magazine.  Blues and yellows are the color schemes, accented by tropical light woods. The cottages have beach, ocean or garden views and are stocked with virtually any amenity you could imagine, CD and DVD players, mini bars etc. Each has a bedroom, living room, kitchen, dining area, marble bathroom and porch. The grounds are perfectly manicured with swaying palms, bright flowers and stone paths. If privacy, seclusion and luxury are what you are seeking, the Cottages are perfect for your weekend.

You’ll awake in the morning to the gentle breezes and a continental breakfast and newspaper delivered to your cottage. Start your day with a little tennis on one of two courts, then relax beside the free form pool or on the powder soft white sand beach. Take a whirlpool, enjoy a tropical drink at the poolside bar, Flippers and have lunch at the open air Beach Café. Life is good here.

DINING at Sunset Key Cottages

There is a grocery service should you wish to stock your kitchen and a private chef service is available for a romantic dinner in your cottage. A real treat though, is an intimate dinner at the island’s open air restaurant, Latitudes. They’ll set up a table for you in the sand on the beach and surround you with flaming torches. Seems like you are the only two in the world.

Want to enjoy the action in Key West? The launch to and from Key West runs every 10 minutes from early morning to late at night, @ 2:30am.

One word of caution, the cottages are set up as two bedroom cottages and that is how they prefer to rent them. One bedroom accommodations are available (they close off one bedroom) when two are not rented. Be sure to check this otherwise, you may end up paying substantially more for a two bedroom.
